Kari Anderson Tankersley - Owner/Head Trainer

Kari is a graduate B Pony Clubber and earned a BS in Animal Science from Clemson University in 1987.  She competed through Intermediate Level in Combined Training and has coached riders through the Preliminary Level in USEA competitions.  Having started her career as a riding instructor in the early 1980’s she has taught and trained many riders from the beginner level through competing at recognized Horse Trials and Dressage Shows.  Not only having experience in Combined Training, Kari has also coached and trained horses that qualified and competed at the AQHA World Championship Horse Show in Oklahoma City, OK.  Along with her coaching and training experience, Kari was active in Pony Club for many years as a District Commissioner of Anderson Foothills Pony Club, Vice-Regional Supervisor of the Carolina Region, C-3 Examiner in the Carolina Region and a horse management judge at Regional and National Rallies.

In 2000, Kari returned to Clemson University and served as the Manager of the Clemson University Equine Center until 2009 when she moved into a position in the Administrative Department for the Research Farm Services at Clemson University.  Now, in 2010, Kari is excited to be re-starting the Riding School that Twin Tree Farm was known so well for in the 1980’s and 90’s.  She is looking forward to starting a brand new group of young riders with the help of the two additional instructors, Melissa Betz and Sue Shaw.

Her goal is for the “New Barn” @ Twin Tree Farm to be a place for

Children, Adults and Horses to have

Fun and Safe riding experiences.

Farm & Business Manager - Sue Shaw

Sue and  Ben

Sue comes to TTF with a resume that leaves her well over qualified to be the business manager at Twin Tree Farm.  Having worked most of her life at the executive level of business  management in New York City and Cleveland, Ohio, she has come "Home" to find that horses are much easier to deal with than any of her clients from the big cities.

In Sue's previous life she conducted Business Management Training seminars that have prepared her for the hectic job of training and scheduling our working boarders at TTF.

Sue is also in charge of the billing, accounts receivable  and supply orders along with plenty of other "jobs".

TTF is very lucky that Sue is willing to come back to work with us after her retirement from such a Big Life.   :O)

(We think she really does it for the horses!!!!)

Ken "Chip" Tankersley

BEST & Most Valuable Husband

Voted on by all the TTF Friends and Family

Ken "Chip" Tankersley is Kari's husband and the "Dad" of the farm. He is always willing to help with anything that needs done. Almost every weekend, you'll find Ken working around the farm, whether emptying the manure pit, installing an awesome new electronic, or cleaning around the barn. He is definitely the "glue" that holds the farm family together. We appreciate him so much!!
